Beckmead House is located just five minutes walk from the centre of Windermere, overlooking a small wooded copse We have five well appointed rooms, all fully centrally heated with colour television. Also included are tea and coffee facilities hairdryers and fresh towels daily. We have a choice of rooms, ranging from double, twin bedded and family (rooms sleeping 3-4 persons). There is also a comfortable residents lounge where you can just relax or brouse the many local tourist guides. Breakfast is served daily in the dining room between 8.30 and 9.00am (or earlier by arrangement). Consisting of choice of fruit juices, cereals and a hearty ‘Full English Breakfast’ to start you off on your day.

South Lakeland has a wealth of famous and historical characters, William Wordsworth, Beatrix Potter, John Ruskin and Alfred Wainwright to name but a few. They leave behind such famous properties as Brantwood, Dove Cottage and Hill Top.
